Welcome to my comprehensive GetResponse Review and pricing plan with pros and cons for you to choose the best email marketing service and automation platforms, here I will Discuss about all the features and benefits, Pros and Cons, Pricing plan in 2022, How to use Get Response etc.
GetResponse claims to be the easiest email marketing or newsletter tool, marketing automation, conversion funnels, landing pages available, with a ton of professional features. This is a big complaint, especially since their prices are very competitive. The Polish company's global reach extends to 182 countries and claims to attract over a billion subscribers every month! That's a lot of emails.
In terms of features, they boast far more than most other email marketing services on the planet. From simple A/B testing to personalized landing pages; comprehensive design testing for video email marketing platforms, conversion funnels.
Landing pages are particularly interesting because they are part of Conversion Funnel, a new feature that takes care of traffic generation and can even serve as an online store including payment processing. Another feature worth mentioning is their automation, enabling advanced automated campaigns based on triggers / conditions such as sales or even location. Other tools offer automation, but most are not as powerful or user-friendly.
On higher-level plans, you also get access to their webinar feature, as well as a built-in CRM - extras you don't commonly see on email marketing platforms. It was certainly enough to capture our interest - and ultimately our business (we now use GetResponse for a lot of our automated campaigns). So let's read my complete GetResponse Review & its pricing to take a closer look at this tool in 2021.

As a result, in addition to email marketing, Getresponse now provides a range of features such as:
- E-commerce functionality
- Webinar hosting

Although the user base for this email marketing tool is not as extensive as that of some of its competitors, such as Mailchimp, it is still substantial enough to provide confidence that the company is well-established and unlikely to disappear anytime soon.
Simon Grabowski is the CEO and founder of GetResponse.
In this Part of My Review of Get Response, I will Show you Little about the Creator of this one stop email Marketing Solution to Grow Online Business Fast.
Simon Grabowski is the CEO and founder of GetResponse. With only $200 in his pocket, Simon created the first version of GetResponse in 1998 to solve a business problem he needed a simple way to build an email marketing list and send content drip. to customers at predefined intervals.
The product worked so well that Simon created GetResponse with a mission to bring technology for one-stop internet marketing automation platforms solution from big business to small business. Over the years, his vision and leadership have attracted a team of over 300 highly skilled employees to create an innovative online marketing platform known for its design, simplicity and unmatched user experience.
In this section of my GetResponse review, you'll discover my overall evaluation of the advantages and disadvantages of using GetResponse.
Get Response Review: PROS
- As long as you're happy to use a "Basic" plan, Getresponse is much cheaper than most of its major competitors (in some cases, significantly) while still offering as much, if not more, features than them.
- It's hard to find similar discounts from major competitors because the discounts offered when paying upfront for one or two years of GetResponse service are incredibly generous.
- The online marketing automation functionality is excellent.
- Getresponse offers a great approach to data segmentation - it's much more flexible on this front than many competing products, especially Mailchimp.
- GetResponse's webinar feature is a genuine unique selling point (USP), as I haven't come across anything similar on comparable products.
- Its "Conversion Funnel" feature is potentially useful for merchants who want to manage all aspects of their sales funnels and ecommerce business under one roof.
- Its reporting features are incredibly comprehensive.
- Getresponse is transparent about deliverability rates, publishes numbers on its website, and provides deliverability statistics for the e-newsletters you send.
How To USE GetResponse?
GetResponse offers a diverse range of sophisticated email marketing tools, but novices may encounter some difficulty in grasping their functionality. Fortunately, the comprehensive knowledge base 24/7 chat support can greatly alleviate this issue. Signing up is a breeze - just provide your first name, email address, and create a password. However, to fully activate your account, you must also enter a valid business address and phone number.
Create the Campaign
When setting up your campaign, you can opt for either the "drag and drop email editor" or the "HTML source editor". The former is a user-friendly WYSIWYG editor with over 200 templates and drag and drop functionality. Meanwhile, the latter is for more experienced users who prefer to code their emails manually.
With the drag and drop editor, you can choose from various options such as a blank template, importing a template from a zip file or webpage, creating a plain text email, or requesting a custom template from GetResponse's designers (additional fees may apply). Once you select a template, you can fill in the necessary fields (message name, subject, reply address, etc.) and configure tracking options, enable A/B testing, and set up sharing via Facebook and Twitter.
One notable feature is the mobile device preview, which shows a preview of your email's appearance on a mobile device with interactive scrolling and landscape/portrait toggling.
The selection of templates is impressive, with categories ranging from restaurants, vacations, birthdays, online marketing, retail and e-commerce, to associations. You can easily customize your email design by dragging and dropping elements such as text boxes and images. Previous limitations, such as text wrapping, have been resolved.
The program provides an "excerpt" function where you can save items for future use. Plus, the "History" feature automatically saves each version of your post as you work on it, allowing you to quickly revert to an earlier version if needed.
However, the element layout interface can be unnecessarily complex. Moving an element to a different location, for example, can require multiple clicks and lead to unusual behavior for more complex layouts. If you have basic knowledge of HTML, accessing the HTML editor can be a useful workaround.
Send e-mail
The process of sending emails is fairly simple. You can utilize the inbox preview to preview your emails and run a spam check to detect any elements that could potentially classify your email as spam. After selecting a campaign (i.e., a list) and choosing which email addresses to include or exclude, you can either send your emails immediately or schedule them for a later date and time.
As is typical with email marketing services, you must ensure that any imported list complies with the provider's anti-spam policies and is permission-based. You can add lists in the following ways:
- Import a .csv, .txt, .xls, .xlsx, .vcf or .ods file
- Import contacts from Salesforce, Google Docs, Google Contacts, Magento, Highrise, FreshBooks, Zendesk or Formstack
- Manually copy and paste addresses into a text box
- Migrate a list from ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, AWeber or Constant Contact
Users can also manually select or eliminate contacts from a particular mailing on an individual basis - a handy feature for small organizations with a limited mailing list.

In this section of GetResponse review of this email marketing platform, I will highlight its key features.
Getresponse boasts an impressive feature set, even on its entry-level plan, which sets it apart from other email marketing tools.
In addition to the standard list hosting, templates, autoresponders, and analytics, Getresponse has evolved into an all-in-one marketing and e-commerce solution.
However, one may wonder if this multitude of features causes the platform to become a jack of all trades and a master of none.
Let's examine the platform's primary features to determine its strengths.
One of the standout features of Getresponse is its comprehensive autoresponder functionality. The platform offers a wide range of options to choose from.
You have the option of sending time-based messages or messages triggered by specific actions or user information. Time-based options include cycles, as in the example mentioned above. This huge range of autoresponder features is a big selling point for the platform, for example:
- Open
- Clicks
- Subscriptions to specific lists
- Changes in contact preferences
- Transactions / Objectives completed
- Birthdays
- Changes to user data
How to create a simple autoresponder series to keep your leads hot
Apart from the standard drip-style autoresponders, Getresponse offers a more advanced option called "Marketing Automation" available on "Plus" or higher plans.
With this feature, you can create automated workflows using a drag and drop builder. Essentially, you set up an automation flowchart that instructs Getresponse on what actions to take when a user performs specific actions, such as opening a particular offer or clicking on a specific link.
This sophisticated feature provides greater control over email sequences and is a valuable tool for businesses looking to streamline their email marketing campaigns.

GetResponse email templates are in a state of flux as the platform rolls out a new version of its Email Creator. As a result, there are currently two sets of templates available - one for the old Email Creator and another for the new "BETA" version.
The new templates, which number around 100, are of higher quality than the old ones and feature contemporary designs that can be customized to suit different needs. They are grouped into categories based on the fundamental goals of a campaign, such as promotion or education.
The older templates are organized by industry and have a wider range of options, but they tend to display poorly on the latest version of Gmail for mobile devices. It is advisable to test any older templates thoroughly before using them in your email campaign.

GetResponse Responsive Email Design Tool |
GetResponse provides a wide range of analysis and reporting options, including the basics such as open rate, click-through rate, churn rate, etc. Additionally, the following features are worth noting:
- One-click segmentation: This feature allows you to identify people who haven't subscribed to an email newsletter you sent and put them in a subscriber segment, which you can resend with a different version of the electronic newsletter.
- Metrics Over Time: This feature provides information on the exact timing of when most of your subscribers are acting on your emails, allowing you to time your future mailouts accordingly.
- Email ROI: By adding a tracking code to your after-sales page on your site, you can determine the effectiveness of your email campaigns in driving sales and calculating your return on investment in email marketing.
- Per User Information: You can click on any of your subscribers and view where they signed up from, their location, and the emails they have opened in the past.
- E-newsletter performance comparison: This feature enables you to compare the performance of two e-newsletters side by side effortlessly.
Although Mailchimp and Aweber offer similar reporting functionality, particularly around sales tracking, Getresponse's reporting tool is one of the most comprehensive.
GetResponse Email Analytics Section |
The current Getresponse email templates only allow the use of standard "secure web fonts" such as Arial, Times New Roman, and Trebuchet. While this ensures consistent email display across email clients, it limits the creative options for email design.
However, the new email builder in Getresponse offers an extensive selection of Google fonts that users can incorporate into their email newsletters. This feature is unique to Getresponse and is particularly useful for maintaining brand consistency with the prevalent use of Google Fonts in corporate branding.
It's important to note that not all email clients support web fonts, but you can set a fallback font in Getresponse to ensure that your email displays correctly. Overall, the new email creator in Getresponse has the potential to produce visually appealing emails that align with brand aesthetics.
A very wide range of web fonts are available in Getresponse's new email builder |
To improve the effectiveness of email marketing, split testing is a useful technique that involves sending different variations of an e-newsletter to a portion of the subscriber list and sending the best-performing version to the rest.
Getresponse has traditionally offered a better split testing functionality than many competitors, allowing up to five different messages to be tested against each other using variables such as the header, subject field, content, and sending time. This is in contrast to the usual two or three variants allowed by other competing tools.
However, the split testing feature in the new Getresponse models has been reduced in functionality, only allowing testing of up to five variations of messages with different subject headers. It is unclear whether this feature will be reintroduced, as it will depend on user demand.
When it comes to online advertising campaigns using landing pages, directing users to an engaging "squeeze page" with clear information and a well-designed data capture form generates more leads than simply directing them to an information-rich website.
GetResponse offers a valuable tool that sets it apart from much of its competition: a mobile-friendly landing page builder.
This builder not only allows you to create compressed pages but also test the conversion rates of multiple pages against each other in real-time, enabling you to deploy the most effective one. This can have a hugely positive impact on the number of leads generated and improve the overall effectiveness of your email campaign.
While similar products may require the use of third-party landing page builder tools such as Unbounce or Instapage, Getresponse's built-in functionality provides a sophisticated solution. Although Mailchimp recently introduced a landing page feature, it has not yet reached the same level of sophistication as Getresponse's tool.
Getresponse's landing page builder is useful, but to get the full version of it, you have to be on one of the more expensive plans. |
It is crucial to use engaging squeeze pages in online advertising campaigns to generate more leads. While directing users to an information-rich website is helpful, a landing page with a clear call-to-action and a well-designed data capture form can be more effective.
Getresponse provides a useful landing page builder, which is also mobile-friendly, to help improve the conversion rate of pages in real-time.
This feature is available on all plans, providing a significant cost-saving when compared to other landing page tools like Unbounce and Instapage, which cost a minimum of $80 and $199 per month, respectively.
The landing pages created with Getresponse can be connected to several analytics and cookie tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Kissmetrics, and the Facebook pixel.
However, the landing page creator has a few issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the interface is not intuitive and can be quite clunky. Secondly, creating separate versions of desktop and mobile landing pages is necessary, which can be a delicate process. Finally, while analytical cookies can be used on Getresponse landing pages, it is not GDPR compliant to use them in this manner.
Users must be provided with a clear mechanism to enable or disable cookie usage to meet GDPR requirements. Unfortunately, many Getresponse users (especially in the EU) may break the law by adding their Facebook pixel to a Getresponse landing page without a proper cookie consent banner. Despite the potential benefits of this feature, these issues may make it less attractive to some users.
Recently, GetResponse added the capability to host webinars on their platform. This feature is particularly attractive since webinars are typically utilized as lead generation tactics, or even as revenue generators.
By having your email database and webinar tool in one place, it simplifies the process. Furthermore, the price is highly competitive compared to established webinar solutions like Gotowebinar, which charges $59 per month for hosting webinars with up to 100 attendees. In contrast, Getresponse offers the same, and more, for $49 per month.
In terms of participant limits, the Getresponse “Plus” plan permits hosting webinars with up to 100 participants, the “Professional” plan can host up to 300 participants, and the "Enterprise" plan can host up to 500 participants. Additionally, webinar features can be purchased as an add-on to the "Basic" plan: $40 per month for a limit of 100 attendees and $99 per month for a limit of 500 attendees.
However, Getresponse notes that these add-ons "may not" be available if you live in North America. Thus, if you are a North American "Basic" plan user, you must upgrade your entire account to access this feature.
Although some aspects of the Getresponse interface have been clunky in the past, such as the landing pages, the webinar functionality is quite impressive, and the interface and functionality are comparable to dedicated platforms for online meetings or webinars.

GetResponse Conversion Funnels will Your ultimate sales funnel software machine |
By providing an all-in-one solution for e-commerce businesses, Getresponse aims to make it easier for users to build sales funnels without the need for external apps. Various templates are available to help users get started.
This feature is available on all plans, but it's important to note that the "Basic" plan only allows users to create a single funnel and does not include the abandoned cart recovery feature, which automatically sends emails. -emails to customers who abandon their cart before completing their purchase.
With the conversion funnel feature, each step of the conversion process is automatically organized and visualized, providing a clear and easy-to-follow roadmap.
If desired, third-party platforms like Shopify, Bigcommerce, and Etsy can be integrated with the conversion funnel feature.
While this feature can be useful for solopreneurs or small businesses looking for an all-in-one option to build all assets needed for a sales funnel, larger merchants with extensive e-commerce requirements and catalogs may still prefer using a dedicated e-commerce platform like Shopify or Bigcommerce for the actual selling part.
GetResponse App Integration Examples |
You can leverage integrations to link GetResponse with popular e-commerce solutions and content management systems, such as Shopify and WordPress, and even some CRM systems like Capsule and Highrise.
Additionally, there are numerous valuable Google integrations that permit you to import Gmail contacts, add Google Analytics tags to email campaigns, and connect landing pages to Google Ads for better PPC campaign tracking.
Many of these integrations are "official" Getresponse integrations that work smoothly. Still, some require third-party tools such as Zapier for authentication, which may come with extra expenses.
Another way to connect Getresponse to other systems is by using its API (Application Programming Interface), which enables you to send and receive data from Getresponse in the way that best fits your application if you possess development skills.
Data Management and Deliverability
Opt-In processes
You have two options for adding subscribers to your mailing list: a "single opt-in" or "double opt-in" process.
With a single opt-in process, a person is added to your mailing list immediately after they click the Submit button on your signup form. This approach makes it easy for users to subscribe, which can increase the conversion rate and the number of subscribers on your list.
On the other hand, a double opt-in process requires subscribers to confirm their email address by clicking a confirmation link before being added to your list. While this approach helps to verify that subscribers are using real email addresses, it can result in fewer leads and less effective email campaigns.
The good news is that Getresponse offers the flexibility to use either opt-in approach, unlike some competing products. This allows you to choose the method that works best for your business.
Lead Capture and Forms
There are two ways to incorporate forms in Getresponse: either by adding an HTML form that you customize yourself, or by designing your form within Getresponse's range of templates and customizing it to match your website's design.
If you choose the latter option, you can use a JavaScript snippet to display your form on your site in a variety of formats (e.g. online, pop-up, or slide-up).
Both HTML forms and JavaScript forms can be used to capture data into standard Getresponse fields or custom fields.
The JavaScript forms are particularly impressive, allowing you to create versions suitable for desktop and mobile devices and to select from a reasonable range of web fonts for styling. Additionally, you can activate a CAPTCHA spam-blocking feature to help prevent false registrations.
It's worth noting that Getresponse doesn't offer any built-in control for enabling or disabling pop-up forms on specific pages or devices, which could be concerning given Google's penalties for intrusive mobile pop-ups. However, there are several growth hacking tools available, such as Sumo or Privvy, that can be connected to Getresponse to address this issue.
These tools provide the ability to turn off pop-ups for mobile users, customize form styles, and control which pages they appear on. However, these solutions often involve additional costs. Alternatively, if you use a CMS and a forms package, such as Gravity Forms for WordPress, you can use Getresponse's API to achieve more control over your forms' appearance.
Data Segmentation Options
One of the most impressive features of Getresponse is the ability to send emails to multiple subscriber segments simultaneously or exclude them from receiving certain messages. This sets it apart from some of its major competitors, such as Mailchimp and Aweber.
For instance, let's say you have divided your list of subscribers into four segments: Segment A, Segment B, Segment C, and Segment D.
With Getresponse, you can effortlessly send messages to segments A, B, and C concurrently by selecting the relevant checkboxes. You can also send a message to segments B and C while excluding segment D.
Getresponse stands out from its competition with its ability to message or exclude multiple segments at once, as well as multiple lists. This level of flexibility allows for a highly personalized email campaign audience.
Compared to its main competitor Mailchimp, which only offers advanced segmentation features with their expensive "Mailchimp Premium" plan, Getresponse offers a better value with this feature.
Additionally, Getresponse assigns each contact on your list a score based on a 5-point scale using real-time data.
- Not engaged (when somebody is not interested in the content you send them… at all)
- At-risk
- Neutral
- Engaged
- Highly engaged (when somebody loves the content you send and is actively opening emails and clicking the links)
Engagement Points will then appear on your contact list, so you can target your most engaged contacts and increase your chances of turning them into paying customers.
GetResponse Deliverability
When selecting an email marketing tool, it's important to consider the email deliverability rate, which is the percentage of sent newsletters that actually reach subscribers' inboxes.
While not all email marketing providers are transparent about their deliverability rates, Getresponse seems to be open about it.
According to their website, they state that their overall deliverability rate is currently 99%, although it may vary for each send due to different factors like the message content.
This high deliverability rate can boost your confidence that the majority of your Getresponse emails will reach their recipients.
Moreover, Getresponse provides the deliverability rate of each message on your email analytics, a feature that is not available on competitor product metrics.
Lastly, Custom DKIM, a security authentication technique designed to enhance the security of email senders and recipients, is available on all Getresponse plans, which can further improve deliverability.
Built-in browser alerts
Web push notifications can play a crucial role in a sales funnel by prompting website visitors to opt-in to browser notifications. By utilizing them, businesses can inform customers about new products, time-sensitive sales, and other important updates.
Although many platforms only offer push notifications as a third-party integration, GetResponse stands out by providing it as a built-in feature. Setting it up on your site is straightforward, and managing permissions and sending alerts are effortless.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
Due to the stricter rules on consent to receive electronic newsletters under the new GDPR regulations, email marketing has become more complex. It is now crucial to adhere to the regulations on obtaining and recording consent.
Getresponse deserves praise for providing its users with clear guidance on their GDPR obligations, along with dedicated GDPR fields that simplify the registration of consent and ensure compliance.
However, in terms of GDPR compliance, there is room for improvement in one area of Getresponse: connections. Unlike its competitor Mailchimp, Getresponse lacks a two-factor authentication process that requires users to provide two or more pieces of information, such as a password and a code sent by SMS, to access their account. Given that data security is a key aspect of GDPR, it would be beneficial for Getresponse to implement this feature soon.
Moreover, while it is possible to capture data in a GDPR-compliant manner using Getresponse, its landing page functionality is not compliant if it involves using a Facebook pixel alongside it.
In summary, Getresponse offers GDPR-compliant data collection capabilities, but there is still room for improvement.
GetResponse’s website builder
The latest addition to GetResponse's feature set is a website builder.
With GetResponse, you have the ability to create a website within the platform and connect it to your own domain. Additionally, GetResponse offers domain purchasing if preferred.
The website builder templates are well-designed, but the tool itself is currently limited to constructing simple, static pages. While adding GetResponse forms is straightforward, incorporating products created within GetResponse onto a test site built with the developer tool is not immediately obvious.
As of now, building an online store with this tool may prove disappointing due to the lack of full e-commerce functionality. However, GetResponse claims that full e-commerce capabilities are in development.
Nevertheless, for those seeking to create a straightforward brochure website, the tool is sufficient.
One thing to note about GetResponse's site builder is that the sites it creates aren't very fast, or particularly compatible with Google's new Core Web Vital site speed and stability standards.

Ease of use / Interface
GetResponse is generally user-friendly, with a recent interface redesign that has made it cleaner and more intuitive. The basics of the platform, such as importing contacts, creating email campaigns, setting up autoresponders, and checking statistics, are easy to navigate. The segment management feature, in particular, is excellent.
While the learning curve for GetResponse's more advanced marketing automation tools isn't too steep, the form design and landing page building tools could use an overhaul. These tools haven't been improved as much as other features as part of the interface redesign and could be more user-friendly.
Compared to its competition, Campaign Monitor is a bit more user-friendly, while Mailchimp's interface has a cleaner design. Aweber's interface is similar in appearance and usability to GetResponse.
One area where GetResponse had previously struggled was with its email editor, which was clunky and prone to crashing. However, the new version of the email creator has improved considerably, with a cleaner and more intuitive drag-and-drop interface that is easy to use and less prone to crashing. While not the best among competing apps, it is still perfectly acceptable.
The current version of the email editor in Getresponse lacks the ability to define "global" styles for the text, such as setting headers in black font x and body copy in gray font y. However, I was informed that this feature is under development and will be added soon. Currently, you have to format your copy on the fly, which isn't ideal. While not a major issue, it would be great if Getresponse could address this in the near future.
Customizable Dashboard
Customizing the main dashboard in GetResponse is simple and flexible. As the dashboard comprises modules, you can arrange, remove, or add them to prioritize crucial information. Additionally, you can incorporate widgets to monitor funnel progress, track list growth, or access daily tasks easily.
Furthermore, GetResponse now allows users to create a Forever FREE account without the need for a credit card.

GetResponse Analytics & Reporting
Contrary to some negative reviews, GetResponse provides comprehensive reporting features. While some reviews claimed the analytics were inadequate, I found GetResponse's reporting options to be superior to those of similar email marketing services. In addition to standard email, subscriber, and automation metrics, the reporting dashboard offers customization and targeting tools.
GetResponse reports can help you make data-driven decisions. The platform allows you to customize the report panel, allowing you to compare two versions of an email quickly. With this feature, you can determine which version of the subtest generated better results and identify the best times and topics for your audience.
The GetResponse reporting system also provides good customization options. Basic reports contain all the expected metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, social shares, and deliverability. However, if you require more specific metrics like clicks on specific web pages or site purchases, you can add custom metrics through the goal-setting option. Once you add a goal, it will appear in reports for that account.
GetResponse reporting is also beneficial for teams. You can schedule subscriber and campaign reports to share results with clients or colleagues. You can customize the timing of your reports and automatically send them to as many stakeholders as needed. However, note that you can only have more users if you upgrade to the Plus plan or later.
GetResponse Customer Support
GetResponse offers various support options, including 24/7 one-on-one assistance via email and live chat. Although phone support is not available, users can access a helpful library of resources, such as videos, infographics, and courses, to learn how to navigate the software.
Here are the different support options available in GetResponse:
- Email and Live Chat: GetResponse provides 24/7 live email and chat support. However, phone support is not offered.
- In-software help: Users can access support resources from their dashboard, including an email form, live chat, and links to the GetResponse List Building Program, Premium Marketing Toolkit, and Marketplace.
- Help Center: GetResponse provides an extensive knowledge base of searchable FAQs, including links to relevant video tutorials.
- Guides: Users can download guides, white papers, infographics, and reports that offer an in-depth view of email marketing software and management.
- Videos: GetResponse has a comprehensive library of video resources, including short tutorials and long courses on different aspects of email marketing.
- API Documentation: Developers can access API documentation to create customizations.
- Account Managers (Business): Business Level Plan users can access an account manager.
- Blog: GetResponse frequently posts articles on their blog, offering email marketing tips and trends.
- Social Networks: GetResponse is active on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and Instagram.
Some users have had positive experiences with GetResponse's customer service, while others report slow or no responses to their concerns. To improve support, GetResponse should consider offering phone support.
It's worth noting that GetResponse now offers a Forever Free Account option that doesn't require a credit card.
GetResponse Review: PRICING PLAN AND EVALUATION
In this part of my honest Get Response Review will advice you the Details Pricing Plan, from where you can select Plan according to your Business Size..
GetResponse offers FOREVER FREE Account with upto 500 contacts - credit card not Required. You have several plan options available, and the price of GetResponse increases with contacts as shown below.
GetResponse pricing comes in 4 different plans:
- Free: Starting at $0.00/month - No Credit Card
- Basic: Starting at $15/month.
- Plus: Starting at $49/month.
- Professional: Starting at $99/month.
- Designing a high-converting sales funnel
- Access to 220 templates
- Autoresponders
- Proven email designs
- Split testing
- Powerful segmentation options
The main differences between the plans (IMPORTANT!)
- Webinars: Webinars are the ultimate bribe to your email address. I did not start growing until I offered one for free. You need at least the Plus plan for this.
- Automation Builder: You must know this before registering. Automation Builder, GetResponse's best feature, is only available in the Plus plan (5 workflows). And you only get unlimited workflows in the Professional plan (starting at $99 / month).
- CRM: GetResponse's customer relationship management tool is not the best, but it's still added value. It is only available to subscribers to the Plus plan.
- List segmentation: Contact score and tagging is a game changer. This allows you to focus on the hottest wires and keep them cool until they warm up. It is only available in Plus plan or higher.
THE BASIC PLAN IS NOT TO GROW YOUR BUSINESS
I don't mean it's a waste of money, but in my opinion, the basic plan offered by GetResponse isn't worth it. As a beginner, it's optional, but as you grow, it becomes essential.
OK, now for one more important thing that,GetResponse prices increase sharply based on contacts $49/month isn't too bad for the Plus plan when you consider all the features. But this is only for 1000 contacts. It's not exactly Crush anything.
Cloud-Based Or Locally-Installed
GetResponse is a cloud-based software, so there’s nothing to download.
GetResponse Gaps
According to some users, the Template Builder interface of GetResponse is restricted, and the default templates are not up-to-date. Additionally, GetResponse does not provide a free plan for new email marketers similar to MailChimp.
Nevertheless, its free trial comes with a remarkable 1,000 contacts, which exceeds the contact limit of most email marketing providers.
Hardware and Software Requirements
GetResponse works with both PC and Mac operating systems and supports the latest official versions of these browsers:
- [+] Mozilla Firefox (recommended)
- [+] Google Chrome (recommended)
- [+] Safari
- [+] Internet Explorer

The company processes and stores credit card data using bank-level encryption on a PCI compliant network. User data is backed up daily on multiple servers for complete data redundancy.

Anti-spam Policy and Protection
GetResponse upholds high deliverability rates through its extensive anti-spam system. To ensure compliance with company standards, you need to certify that your list is based on authorization and legitimate means of acceptance during registration. When adding new contacts, you have to check a box indicating how you obtained their address.
The software has an internal tool called Hydra, which runs tests on complaint rates, bounce rates, and subscription sources. This ensures that users remain compliant with anti-spam policies, and identifies campaign aspects that may harm their reputation or deliverability.
All accounts come with Spam Score, which shows you your SpamAssassin test score. This feature reveals potential causes for email providers to categorize your message as spam, enabling you to identify problems before they affect your deliverability.
GetResponse Review: CONCLUSION
GetResponse stands out from other newsletter tools by providing both excellent functionality and ease of use. The platform has effective mechanisms for automating list management and flexible automation workflows, though the editor can be challenging for certain tasks.
However, GetResponse's responsive templates are more than adequate for creating effective emails. The availability of an iOS and Android app for tracking and sending newsletters on the go is also a plus.
GetResponse boasts a long list of powerful features, including landing pages and webinars, and its new Autofunnel feature further adds to its versatility.
Although there is room for improvement in its deliverability rates, GetResponse still performs very well in most areas.
As a highly versatile email marketing tool, we've found it to be effective for our own campaigns at DigiZoneBD, and we would highly recommend it to others.
Moreover, the platform now offers a Forever Free account that requires no credit card, making it even more accessible.
